Delfryn Rocking Horses currently have three horses in our standard range and hopefully in the not too distant future we will be adding some more to our Stable. I am currently working on a Unicorn design and will post my progress in the Workshop page.
Our first horse the 'Delfryn Horse' is modeled along the more traditional lines and is carved in the typical gallop pose with their heads slightly turned.
Our 'Delfryn Pony' is a contemporary style horse with legs positioned correctly into the trot with arched neck and its mouth engaged on the bit. This particular style is more pony- like and is used for portrait work with amazing results.
More recently we have added a 'Delfryn Unicorn' to the stables with hopes of creating a little magic to the lives of children and collectors alike.
Delfryn can paint your horse as a portrait of a real horse either living or passed away (reference photos needed) and we can use either style of horse for this purpose.
We also, when time permits, make occasional unique horses that are offered for sale as special pieces.
All our horses come to you with a Certificate of Authenticity and a Numbered Brass Plaque under its tummy. The inside of each horse has a hollow compartment and the brass plaque in itself seals the horse to form a time capsule.
Each horse then contains pictures of your horse as it was made for you. If at some time your horse ever requires restoration hopefully not for many, many years a reference will be available to follow.
We only use solid brass fittings on all our stands.
All timbers used in the production of all our horses are kiln dried and come from sustainable forests.
Our turned stand post have a unique Barley Twist design exclusive to Delfryn.
